Potala's Rhododendron
Trail offers a combination of trek and
tour with sightseeing around Pemayangtse
with visits to the Khechopalri Lake (the
famous Wishing Lake) and Tashiding
Monastery.
ITINERARY
DAY 01
Gangtok - Hilley (drive for about 6 hrs, night
in lodge).
DAY 02
Hilley - Varsey - (trek ).
DAY 03
Varsey -Dentam ( trek ) and then drive from
Dentam to Pemayangtse.
DAY 04
Visit Khechopalri lake in the morning and take a
short walk to Rabdentse Palace ruins in the
afternoon.
DAY 05
Visit Tashiding Monastery situated on top of a
small hill, and houses the Bhumchu, the pot of
holy water blesses 3000 years ago.
