This trek takes one up to Dzongri at 4020 meters
and offers the most magnificent view of the
Khanchendzonga mastiff. Ideal for those who like
high altitude trek but do not enough time to do
a longer trek.
ITINERARY
DAY 01
Pickup
from Bagdogra airport and drive to Gangtok
(1670m) approx 4 hours
DAY 02
Gangtok sightseeing early morning visits Tashi
View Point, Ganesh Tok, and Hanuman Tok. After
Breakfast Drive to Rumtek Monastery built in
1740 on the way back visit Chorten monastery
(1958).
DAY 03
Gangtok- Yuksom (Alt. 1760 m) Drive from Gangtok
to Yuksom (approx 5 hours) Enroute visit Bonn
monastery near Ravongla.
DAY 04
Start Trek from Yuksom to Tsokha (Alt. 3050 m) 6
hours.
DAY 05
Trek from Tsokha to Dzongri (Alt. 4020 m) 5
hours.
